Five Tips For Healthy Feet

Skin Care Lotions

Pedicure treatments are best done in our Kilkenny Salon. All of the lotions and potions, clipping and filing, foot care can get quite compliated! This five point guide will give you all the information you need for at home foot care to keep your feet in excellent condition between pedicure treatments.

  1. Give your feet a good wash in the shower using a gentle loofah, warm water and a hydrating wash. You want to avoid drying out the feet which can lead to cracks and brittle nails. 

  2. Clip your toe nails semi-regularly. Try to clip them in staright line, rather than a curved shape to avoid ingrown toe nails. 

  3. Moisturise your feet with a nourishing foot creme. This is best done at night whilst the skin is regenerating itself.

  4. Inspect your feet regularly and keen an eye out for cracks, scratches or the beginings of ingrown toenails. You want to spot and treat issues before they become infected.

  5. Wear dry clean socks - a fresh pair every day! This will keep them clean and avoid any irritation or inflammation.
